   Grok Adds Alipay and UnionPay Subscription Payments for China

   IT之家 reports, and says it verified, that Grok's subscription checkout now accepts Alipay and China UnionPay, with mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan selectable as regions. The outlet says Alipay first appeared as a grey-test option after Cursor (already supporting Alipay since April 9, 2025) was acquired by SpaceXAI, and was opened at scale only in recent days; checkout also lists Apple Pay, Google Pay and a $5 cashback for some bank-account payments. AIbase additionally reports a half-price first month for new subscribers and notes that X and Grok share a payment system, so X Premium can be bought with Alipay for Grok Plus-level access.

   Google launches Universal Cart in US Search and Gemini

   Google launched Universal Cart in the U.S. on October 15, rolling it out first across Google Search and the Gemini app. The tool saves products from multiple retailers in one place, tracks price drops and restocks, surfaces promo codes and uses Google Wallet to suggest which card offers the best perks. Checkout can run through Google Pay or be transferred to a merchant's site; The Next Web reported that Google's expansion roadmap names Canada, Australia and the UK but not the EU.
