ChatGPT and Codex to share usage limits from December
OpenAI announced that Plus, Pro, and Business subscribers will share one token-metered allowance across ChatGPT and Codex starting in December, according to IT之家 AI. Consumption will vary by model and task complexity, while Instant Chat will not use the shared allowance. Users will see combined usage and reset timing in Settings → Usage, with automatic reset, subscription upgrades, or Credits purchases available after exhaustion.
The policy changes how subscription limits apply across OpenAI’s main chatbot and coding product, while consolidating usage visibility and exhaustion options.
IT之家 11 月 1 日消息，OpenAI 发布公告，宣布从 12 月开始，随着将 Work 的智能体能力引入至 ChatGPT 主要体验中，Plus、Pro 以及 Business 订阅方案的用户将在 ChatGPT 与 Codex 之间共享统一的使用额度。
IT之家获悉，在 ChatGPT 和 Codex 上的用量将统一按 Token 进行计量。额度的实际消耗速度取决于选用的模型及任务复杂度，而即时对话（Instant Chat）不占用额度。
官方表示，正在全面推进过渡筹备工作，以确保用户工作流程不受干扰。预计绝大多数用户等待额度重置的频率不会高于此前。
届时，用户可以在设置 → 使用量（Settings → Usage）中统一查看合并后的剩余额度及下次重置时间。若额度耗尽，用户可以选择等待额度自动重置、升级订阅方案，或是增购点数（Credits）来继续使用相关功能。
