Not allowed
- Sexual or obscene content, including sexual services and any sexual content involving minors.
- Attacks on national leaders or the political system, calls to subvert state power, organising protests, or politically sensitive historical events.
- Content denying or questioning China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, including advocating independence for Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet or Xinjiang, or calling Taiwan, Hong Kong or Macau a country.
- Violence, terrorism, extremism and credible threats.
- Gambling, drugs, fraud, selling personal data, forged documents or invoices.
Fine to discuss
- Technology, business and product news — including news that mentions a place (a company's fab in Taiwan, a Hong Kong IPO, a data centre in Xinjiang).
- Criticism of companies, products and AI models; disagreement and heated debate — about ideas, not people.
How moderation works
- Before anything is published, a phrase list and then an AI check look at it. If it breaks these rules it isn't published, and you're told why.
- The AI can be wrong. If you think it was, tell us through a report or contact the team and a person will review it.
- Accounts that repeatedly post rule-breaking content may be suspended.
