China Launches National Data Group Alongside AI Computing Expansion
Blue Shark Finance, published by TMTPost, reports that National Data Group was officially established in Xiong'an, Hebei, on October 20 with 10 billion yuan in registered capital. Its reported shareholders include China's three major telecom operators, State Grid and China Southern Power Grid. The launch follows national leaders' October 16 visit to Ulanqab to examine East Data, West Computing hub construction and green-computing development.
The group is designed to connect data resources, computing capacity and power, while China is expanding eight national computing hubs and direct green-power links for AI infrastructure.

与美国科技巨头驱动的算力扩张路径不同，中国走的是“国家统筹+区域协同+算电一体”的体系化路线，“东数西算”工程正在把分布在全国各地的数据中心、能源资源和产业需求纳入统一布局。而近期接连发生的两件大事，正是这条路线加速推进的明确信号。
