The Beijing municipal government issued a plan for deepening its international consumption-center buildout during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, calling for broader "AI plus consumption." It directs the city to increase effective supply of next-generation smart terminals including AI phones and computers, smart wearables and robots, and encourages AI-assisted creation of drama, music, dance, art and immersive experiences. The plan also pushes AI, VR and ultra-high-definition technology into retail, education, healthcare, culture, tourism and sports scenarios such as smart business districts and smart stores.
