OpenAI Cuts Funding Target to About $20B and Valuation to $1.25T
OpenAI has reportedly reduced its latest fundraising target from $30B to about $20B and its proposed valuation from $1.4T to $1.25T, according to the Financial Times. The Wall Street Journal, as reported by The Next Web, says the company has secured about $11B in commitments, while CNBC confirmed the new target with a person familiar with the round. OpenAI declined to comment, and the financing remains open with figures potentially subject to change.
The reported revision lowers both OpenAI's fundraising ambition and proposed valuation as investors take a more cautious approach to AI financing.
