36Kr reported that Toppan Holdings, Aisin, Asahi Kasei, SoftBank, AGC and DIC have been selected by Japan’s NEDO for a joint quantum innovation materials development platform project. Scheduled for fiscal years 2026 through 2028, the project will combine quantum computing, AI and machine learning to explore next-generation batteries, optical functional materials and superconducting materials, with experimental feedback used to assess the technology’s practical value.
