SK hynix expects HBM4 shipments and revenue to exceed HBM3E in Q4 2026
SK hynix expects HBM4 shipments and revenue to exceed HBM3E in the fourth quarter of 2026 as it expands production at its M15X factory. The company plans to raise capacity at the Korean plant to its maximum by year-end, increase the share of products made using its sixth-generation 10-nanometer-class 1c process, and expand sales of DDR5 and LPDDR5 SOCAMM for AI servers. SK hynix also expects structural memory shortages to continue through 2030, although the reports caution that conditions may differ across memory products.
The HBM4 production ramp is directly relevant to memory supply for expanding AI infrastructure. SK hynix links its expansion and shortage outlook to rising AI demand and production constraints, but the shipment, revenue and shortage projections are company forecasts rather than independently verified outcomes.
