Maxinsights raises $30M seed for robot-training data
Maxinsights raised a $30 million seed round led by Peak XV, with Tola Capital, South Park Commons, INCE Capital and Alumni Ventures also participating, according to The Next Web. The Santa Clara startup turns first-person footage from contractors wearing cameras in homes, restaurants and hotels into robot-training data. It also launched MaxLoop, which checks footage on arrival, and MaxGlove, a sensor glove that records grip force.
The round gives Maxinsights capital for its stated plan to build robot-training datasets from real-world first-person footage, a resource The Next Web describes as scarce in physical AI.
