   Maxinsights raises $30M seed for robot-training data

   Maxinsights raised a $30 million seed round led by Peak XV, with Tola Capital, South Park Commons, INCE Capital and Alumni Ventures also participating, according to The Next Web. The Santa Clara startup turns first-person footage from contractors wearing cameras in homes, restaurants and hotels into robot-training data. It also launched MaxLoop, which checks footage on arrival, and MaxGlove, a sensor glove that records grip force.

   Quantum Bit Points to Maxinsights as a Possible OpenAI Egocentric Data Supplier

   Quantum Bit reported that Maxinsights may supply OpenAI with large-scale egocentric training data, while noting that OpenAI has not publicly identified its supplier. The report says Maxinsights has delivered more than 2 million hours of data, operates a collection network spanning more than 2,000 environments, and lists Google DeepMind, Figure AI, Dyna Robotics and Genesis AI among its customers. Quantum Bit also reported expected third-quarter 2026 bookings growth of 48% quarter over quarter and ARR at or near $100 million for several months.
