NIO firefly aster 2.1.0 OTA upgrades Lumo GPT assistant
NIO's firefly brand said on October 14 that version 2.1.0 of its aster software is rolling out to cars. The update adds microphone karaoke, a vinyl section in QQ Music and resume-position memory for Himalaya and NIO Radio in the cabin, and upgrades the Lumo voice partner's Lumo GPT, which the company says now answers more accurately, explains more clearly and converses more naturally. It also adds an arrival/departure greeting and a tailgate-opening space reminder, and refines guard mode, 2.4GHz/5GHz hotspot sharing and parking-assist prompts during battery swaps. The capability improvements are the vendor's own claims; the report cites no independent testing.
The over-the-air release bundles an upgrade to the LLM-based Lumo GPT assistant with cabin and vehicle features, illustrating how in-car AI assistants are updated through software versions.
