BAIC's Xingtan 5X opens pre-sale from 139,900 yuan with Huawei ADS 5 Pro
BAIC Off-road (北京越野) launched its new Xingtan brand on Oct 21 and opened pre-sale of the first model, the Xingtan 5X, starting at 139,900 yuan across seven trims. The pure-electric versions are described by the company as the first boxy pure-electric model to carry Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 Pro, which uses an in-cabin solid-state lidar behind the windshield plus 11 cameras, three 4D millimeter-wave radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors, 27 sensors in total. Highway NCA is included with the driver-assist trims while city NCA is sold as a paid subscription, and the top trims use a dual 15.6-inch screen setup with Qualcomm 8155 or 8295P chips and a Yuanjing AI cockpit 2.0 that integrates Volcano Engine's Doubao model for continuous voice commands.
The pricing and trim list show how Huawei's ADS 5 Pro is being spread across seven variants of a 139,900-yuan boxy SUV, with highway NCA bundled and city NCA sold separately.
