- NVIDIA and Hugging Face Demonstrate Microduck Sim-to-Real Training
NVIDIA and Hugging Face published a walkthrough for training the open-source Microduck bipedal robot with NVIDIA Isaac Lab and Newton, then transferring the learned locomotion policy to physical hardware. The workflow uses AI agents to plan a simulated obstacle course and prepare assets, while Isaac Sim evaluates trained policies on RTX Spark; the demonstrations show Microduck walking and recovering from a fall. Pollen Robotics says the robot stands 25 centimeters tall, weighs under 800 grams and has 15 motors, with preorders priced at $399 before taxes and shipping.
TechRepublic · 🔥 0 - SenseTime study: GPT-6 Astra aces simulated embodied tests, stumbles on real robots
A SenseTime SenseNova team, with Daxiao Robotics, Ropedia, NTU and the University of Tokyo, published "Has GPT-6-Astra Achieved Embodied Intelligence?", a systematic evaluation of OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra across 12 simulated benchmarks and 8 real robot platforms. With in-context learning and up to a 10x action-step budget, the model scored 100% on LIBERO-Long++, 99.3% on LIBERO-Pro, 98.8% on SIMPLE and lifted RoboDojo from 27.6% to 81.9%, but reached only 37.0% on the long-horizon BEHAVIOR benchmark and 28.9% on LHPR-VLN navigation. On real hardware it succeeded 17 of 18 times at rigid pick-and-place, yet failed all 11 plug-insertion attempts across three platforms; placing a pen in a holder took over four hours and cost $55, and in a cooking task it decided an egg was done but turned off the stove about 90 seconds later, burning it. The report concludes GPT-6 Astra has largely crossed the embodied-intelligence threshold but remains far from practical deployment, and presents SenseNova-RoboRSI, a harness that improves from execution feedback without updating model weights.
36氪 人工智能 · 🔥 0 - NVIDIA showcases GPT-6 Astra agents building Omniverse simulations
An NVIDIA blog post shows developers directing frontier models such as GPT-6 Astra with natural-language prompts while the agents wire together NVIDIA Omniverse libraries for physics (ovphysx), rendering (ovrtx), scene updates (ovstage) and UI (ovui). Seven projects are described, including a warehouse humanoid simulator, an autonomous-driving test workflow, sensor digital-twin calibration, a Robo Olympics experiment, robotic disassembly, a browser-based International Space Station model and a captured-room rebuild. NVIDIA says one engineer guided agents to create two digital twins from scratch and improve two existing ones in about three days, while in another experiment a simulated Unitree G1 humanoid cleared a single hurdle in 64 of 100 trials.
