Intel Q4 guidance misses estimates as server CPU demand stays strong
Intel forecast Q4 revenue of $15 billion to $16 billion, below the $17 billion analyst consensus, and adjusted EPS of $0.25 versus $0.43 expected. Its Q3 revenue rose 21% to $16.5 billion, while data center and AI sales climbed 78% to $7.3 billion and PC chip sales fell 5% to $8.1 billion. Management said server CPUs remain in short supply and forecast shipments to grow more than 30% in both 2026 and 2027, while it expects the PC market to contract about 12% in 2026. The guidance triggered a steep sell-off, with shares down more than 20% in extended trading and 28.58% at Friday’s close.
Intel’s results show strong AI-related data-center growth alongside PC weakness, with the weak Q4 outlook weighing on the stock even as management reports constrained server-CPU supply.
