   Foxconn unveils three EV prototypes with hub motors and compact lidar

   Foxconn showcased the Model A+, Model K and Model K+ electric-vehicle prototypes at its 2026 Technology Day, according to TechNews and IT之家 AI. Model A+ uses a front motor and independently steered rear hub motors, a pillarless body, a rear sliding door, 24 sensors and Foxconn-developed compact lidar, while Model K targets commercial uses and Model K+ uses rear-wheel drive. Foxconn and Honda say the mapless Level 4 system planned for Model A+ could receive road-test approval in 2027 and enter commercial use in 2030, but that roadmap remains a vendor claim.
