Gemini Personal Intelligence arrives on Android Auto
Google is rolling out Gemini’s Personal Intelligence feature on Android Auto, with support for vehicles running Google Built-in planned over the coming months. The opt-in feature can use information from connected Google services such as Gmail, Calendar, Maps, Photos, Search, YouTube, and Google Workspace to tailor responses; Google illustrates this with requests about flight details, appointments, and saved places. Initial access is limited to eligible personal Google accounts for users aged 18 and older, and the feature is unavailable in the EEA, Switzerland, the UK, and Nigeria.
The rollout expands Gemini’s access to personal Google data in vehicles, but its response quality and privacy behavior remain vendor-claimed and have not been independently tested.
