Opus 5.5 Expands Open-Source Papermorph Motion Design
The Papermorph developer reports using Opus 5.5 to expand the open-source educational project from elementary math worksheets into animated physics textbook chapters and picture books. The picture-book workflow can use SVG illustrations without an image model or incorporate an image model, while public, copyright-free assets support the simpler physics animations. The developer says Opus produced stronger results than several cheaper alternatives, but warns that motion-design work consumes many tokens and is costly through the API.
Papermorph provides a concrete, inspectable open-source example of Opus 5.5 being used for educational motion design, while its reported cost and quality comparisons remain the developer's own experience.
