Baidu reportedly plans to disclose world model research progress
IT之家, citing an exclusive report from 科创板日报, says Baidu plans to disclose its progress in world-model research, which models and predicts physical environments. The reports did not confirm a formal disclosure and provided no technical details, performance results, or confirmed commercial application. Baidu's Apollo Go autonomous-driving operation, reportedly spanning 28 cities, was cited as a possible context, but its direct connection to the model remains unconfirmed.
A formal Baidu disclosure could provide new information about its physical-world AI work, but the current report covers only a planned disclosure and does not establish any demonstrated capability or deployment.

据了解，世界模型是当前 AI 领域的热门方向之一，其核心在于对物理环境进行建模与预测。若该模型用于自动驾驶，可提升复杂场景下的预测与决策能力，为无人车规模化落地提供支撑。过去数年内，百度旗下萝卜快跑业务已覆盖全球 28 座城市，并积累了一定规模的真实道路数据。
至于该模型的具体用途以及与萝卜快跑的关系，目前尚无明确消息。
而据IT之家本月早些时候的报道，“百度世界 2026”将于 11 月 12 日在北京 · 国家会议中心二期举办。本届大会以“下一幕，智能组织”为主题。十年前，百度创始人李彦宏在百度世界 2016 上提出“互联网的下一幕，是人工智能”。十年后，“下一幕，智能组织”的大会主题与这一判断形成呼应，将关注点进一步引向 AI 驱动的组织重构。
