RedMagic sets RedMagicOS 12 rollout schedule for eight device groups
RedMagic said its Android 17-based RedMagicOS 12 update will roll out to eight eligible device groups in China between December 2026 and April 2027. The RedMagic 11 Pro and 11S Pro series are scheduled for December 2026, followed by the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro in January 2027; the RedMagic 10 Pro, 10S Pro, 11 Air and eSports Tablet 3 Pro groups in March; and the RedMagic 10 Air in April. Updates will be delivered in batches, so eligible devices may not receive the software immediately when each rollout begins. RedMagic says the update includes a redesigned interface, AI tools, easier file transfers with Apple devices, gaming improvements and X-Gravity Platform 3.0. The company has not provided device-specific performance results or clarified whether every advertised feature will be available on every eligible device.
The schedule gives owners of eligible RedMagic hardware concrete timing for the Android 17 upgrade, while the staggered rollout leaves some owners waiting several months longer than others. International users do not yet have a confirmed rollout schedule and cannot assume the Chinese dates or feature availability apply to their devices.
