Microsoft retires Outlook’s Copilot-powered Prioritize My Inbox
Microsoft announced that Outlook’s Prioritize My Inbox feature will begin retiring on October 26, 2026, with progressive removal from all Outlook clients expected by the end of March 2027, according to IT之家 citing Windows Central and a Microsoft announcement. Launched in 2025, the feature used Copilot to organize mail, highlight priority messages and let users customize filtering and prompts. Microsoft said removal would simplify the overall Outlook Copilot experience but did not provide further details, while traditional Focused Inbox remains available.
The retirement shows Microsoft changing direction on a Copilot-powered email-organization feature after roughly one year, affecting users who rely on its AI-assisted prioritization.
