Oracle expands OpenAI partnership and adds Cerebras hardware
Oracle and OpenAI are expanding their partnership by bringing Oracle applications and data into ChatGPT, while new Oracle offerings will use OpenAI models, Codex and cyber models. The companies also announced Oracle AI Workspace, Oracle AI Security Mesh, Oracle AI SMB Bundle and Oracle App Composer. Separately, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure plans to offer cloud services running on Cerebras computers in 2027, although Oracle did not disclose the hardware volume.
OpenAI says this connects ChatGPT and Codex to enterprise applications and workflows, while The Next Web reports that Oracle’s planned Cerebras service gives the chipmaker another major cloud customer.

Oracle will offer cloud services running on Cerebras’ AI computers in its data centres from 2027, the companies said. Cerebras, which went public in May, is expected to triple revenue next year to almost $3B, but investors worry about its place in a market Nvidia dominates.
Oracle will offer cloud services built on Cerebras Systems’ AI computers in its data centres, Bloomberg reported. The deal gives the young Nvidia challenger another large customer.
Cerebras builds each chip from a whole silicon wafer, the disk normally cut into many smaller processors. It says this lets its systems answer AI requests much faster than rivals.
