Microsoft reportedly ends Copilot support on smart TVs
An on-screen notice on an LG television says Microsoft has decided to end Copilot functionality on all televisions, including LG and Samsung models. The feature is already reported as unavailable and may stop working shortly, with discontinuation scheduled during 2026 but no exact cutoff date specified. LG said its Copilot icon was a browser shortcut rather than a native application.
The reported withdrawal affects a consumer-facing Copilot deployment first introduced on LG and Samsung smart TVs, although neither Microsoft nor LG has issued a formal announcement confirming the timeline.
