Lemmo 3 launches on Kickstarter, first model on Lemmo's APV platform
Berlin mobility brand Lemmo released the Lemmo 3, the first product on its APV (All-Purpose Vehicle) platform, and opened global preorders on Kickstarter on October 28. The full-suspension long-tail e-bike uses a full-suspension frame with four shock absorbers, and company product materials list a 960 Wh semi-solid battery, electronic automatic shifting, smart anti-theft, rear millimeter-wave radar and front-rear linked braking, with a claimed maximum range of 180 km and a maximum permitted total mass of 200 kg. Lemmo says the bike can carry two children, pets or camping gear. According to the company, crowdfunding passed US$1 million within 36 hours, with an average order value above US$2,400 excluding taxes and shipping, and preorders mainly from Europe, the United States, the UK and Canada. Lemmo says the model need not be regulated as an electric moped in major European and US markets where it complies with local e-bike rules, though actual classification and passenger rules vary by region. The company plans to enter the Chinese market in 2027.
Lemmo 3 marks the company's shift toward family travel and cargo use, and its AI human-machine collaboration control platform, built on the FEAVA smart electrification architecture, uses sensor data on pedalling, speed, road conditions and riding habits to adjust electronic automatic shifting and motor assistance, with heart-rate priority and power management planned.
