Google appears to be preparing another major AI release alongside Gemini 4 Argon, which Google AI Ultra subscribers are expected to receive. We recently spotted references to a new image-generation model called Gempix 3 Pro, potentially signaling the next generation of Nano Banana.

Google previously used the Gempix 2 designation for its Nano Banana 2 Pro model. Following the same naming convention, Gempix 3 Pro could be Nano Banana 3 Pro, another upgrade to Google’s Pro image-generation lineup. More importantly, our findings indicate that the new model will be based on Gemini 4 Argon, potentially bringing substantial improvements to image generation and editing.

Gempix 3 Pro has also been added to Google’s existing image citation functionality. This system can detect when a generated image closely matches an existing reference image, including content associated with platforms such as Shutterstock and Pinterest, and block the generation. Adding Gempix 3 Pro suggests Google is integrating the upcoming model into its established image-matching and content-protection mechanisms.
