Google has begun emailing Google AI Plus subscribers to confirm that from November 13, 2026, selecting Pro models in the Gemini app and in AI Mode in Google Search will be limited to Google AI Pro subscribers and above, leaving AI Plus users with Flash and Flash Lite; existing Pro-model chats must be continued with a different model. Subscribers who want continued access to the more capable models would need to move up to the $19.99/month Google AI Pro plan or the $99.99/month AI Ultra plan. Google did not give a reason in the email, and the report says an October support document had previously suggested restrictions would take effect on October 9, with the email now setting the November 13 date. The change follows Google rolling out Gemini 4 Argon to AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers.
