Chinese autonomous delivery company Neolix announced a Series E round of nearly $400 million, co-led by Boyu Capital and what the company described only as a national-level fund, with participation from Alibaba AEF NextGen Hong Kong, Monolith Capital, GGV Capital, Vertex Growth under Temasek and others, and existing shareholders including Yunqi Partners and SoftBank Asia following on. Founder Yu Enyuan told Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily that the round was originally planned at $200 million and ended up oversubscribed at double that size. Reports citing investor-circle sources identified the national fund as the National AI Industry Investment Fund, a first for the unmanned delivery sector, though Neolix's own announcement did not name it. Neolix said the proceeds will go toward building regional operations hubs for its global service network and toward end-to-end large-model data training loops intended to raise safety levels and cut lifetime vehicle costs.
