Developer uses Claude to build Xbox Cloud Gaming homebrew for jailbroken PS5s
Brazilian developer RafaelNGP released a homebrew app called PSBox Cloud Gaming on GitHub that runs Xbox Cloud Gaming natively on a jailbroken PS5, mapping up to four DualSense controllers for Xbox compatibility. Installation involves downloading a .zip, extracting it to a specific folder, mounting the "game" through a homebrew loader and signing in; streams run at 1080p60 and can be upscaled to 4K using the PS5 GPU with AMD FSR 1 or Anime4K, according to the report. The mod was created in part using Claude, and testers report issues including macroblocking, pink artifacts and DualSense vibration problems; after one user asked about local Xbox Remote Play, Rafael said it did not work yet but shipped an update days later enabling it.
It shows AI coding assistants helping individual developers add unofficial cross-platform console features, though the result depends on jailbroken hardware and remains unstable.
