DeepSeek reportedly raises 105.5 billion yuan in second funding round
开源中国, citing The Information, reported that DeepSeek raised 105.5 billion yuan, about US$15.8 billion, in a second funding round involving nearly 30 investors. 钛媒体 cited foreign media and people familiar with the matter, saying the round valued DeepSeek at 615.5 billion yuan and included state, venture-capital and technology investors such as Tencent, CATL, ChangXin Memory and SMIC. The reported investor composition and individual funding amounts have not been confirmed by primary financial documents.
The reported financing would be one of the largest AI funding rounds in China and highlights DeepSeek's access to substantial corporate, industrial and public-sector capital.
