AVATR starts pushing AVATR. OS 6.1.0 car update with AI image generation
AVATR announced on October 23 that it has begun rolling out the AVATR. OS 6.1.0 infotainment update, which IT之家 summarized as covering intelligence, safety and convenience changes. Among the AI-related additions, AVATR says users can upload photos of pets or family members in the AVATR App to generate static and animated AI artworks and sync them to the car as cabin wallpapers, and that an interactive electronic pet called "Taco" plus a pet-focused card for the ring screen are new. The update also adds an independent game space, remote battery preheating in one-tap car prep, staying powered while briefly away from the vehicle, dual-map switching with Baidu Maps and lane-level navigation on certain trims, and GAEB automatic emergency braking for unusual obstacles limited to some 896-line lidar versions. AVATR's feature list, attributed to its official update notes, specifies which of the AVATR 12, 07, 07L, 06T, 06 and 11 models support each item.
The rollout shows generative AI image features reaching mainstream consumer vehicle cabins in China, packaged alongside safety functions such as GAEB that AVATR limits to specific lidar-equipped models.
