Game Companies’ AI Drama Projects Struggle to Prove Returns
DoNews reports that game companies that entered AI short dramas and comic dramas are now testing their ambitions against performance data as short-term KPIs and uncertain returns pressure the projects. The report says most entrants lack rigorous attribution, operation, and settlement standards, although isolated examples include billion-level views and campaigns that successfully fed users back into games. An authorized reprint by 创业邦 carries the same analysis rather than providing independent corroboration.
The report highlights a major gap between AI-content investment by game companies and the operating metrics needed to judge acquisition, retention, IP engagement, and revenue impact.
