Bona’s AI feature Sanxingdui: Future Past reaches cinemas
TMTPost reports that Bona Film Group’s 100-minute AI-generated feature “Sanxingdui: Future Past” received a National Film Administration exhibition permit and reached cinemas. The production took more than two years, involved 70 to 80 people and cost over RMB 10 million, according to the producers. The team used fully digital characters and virtual environments rather than live-action filming, while repeatedly revising shots as newer models appeared.
The reported theatrical release provides a concrete production case for fully generated AI feature films, including costs, staffing, technical constraints and the difficulty of sustaining narrative and visual continuity across 100 minutes.

这种直到最后一刻还在推翻重来的日常，伴随了整个项目近两年时间。
