Tencent Maps opens its agent capability platform across apps and devices
Tencent announced a broad map-agent capability platform for industry customers, smart hardware and developers at the 2026 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Conference, according to IT之家. Tencent said Yuanbao, WeChat Xiaowei, OPPO Xiaobu Assistant, Rokid AI glasses and Guangfan AI wearables have integrated the capabilities, while developers can access them through WorkBuddy, MCP Server, Agent Skills and connectors; the company also released the LBSwork desktop AI map workbench.
The announcement extends Tencent Maps’ agent capabilities across consumer apps, automotive, wearables and developer tools, alongside the launch of LBSwork for business customers.
