NearLink 3.0 standards released for intelligent IoT
IT之家 reported that the International NearLink Alliance and representatives from research institutions, industry associations, and companies including Huawei, China Mobile, and Lenovo jointly released the NearLink 3.0 standards in Shenzhen on October 22. The initiative targets intelligent IoT across multiple scenarios, with AI, passive communication, and millimeter-wave technology identified as research directions; three standards, including lossless audio, have been formally released since development began in August 2025, while more remain in progress. Shanghai HiSilicon executive Zhi Hao said SLE 3.0 will upgrade rate, coverage, and interference resistance, and more than 60 organizations compiled the related technical-standards evolution blue book.
NearLink 3.0 is a concrete connectivity-standard release that adds AI, passive communication, and millimeter-wave work to the short-range wireless platform, with three standards already published.
