Chery to unveil automotive vertical-domain AI model, Mo Bao robot on Oct 20
Chery says it will hold its 2026 Global Innovation Conference in Wuhu on Oct 20 under the theme “Change,” where it plans to release what it calls the industry's first automotive vertical-domain large model. According to IT之家, the model combines Chery's work in compute, algorithms and data, and the company will also show a vehicle-grade chip designed for physical-AI world models. The event is set to include the global debut and pre-orders of Mo Bao, Moja Robotics' first consumer home-companion humanoid robot, alongside an outlook on the “Yaoguang 2035” plan. A second report describes the model as already released at the conference, but that account reworks pre-event information, so timing and launch details still need confirmation.
Chery describes the vertical-domain model and vehicle-grade chip as the technical base for its plan to move from a carmaker to a global smart-technology company, making this a public showing of an automaker's in-house industry model.
