Microsoft Office 2021 support ends this month

ZDNET reports that Microsoft confirmed in a new support document that support for Office 2021 ends Tuesday, October 13, after which it will no longer provide technical support, software updates, bug fixes or security patches, and its online help and support pages will stop being updated. The software will keep working, but without patches for future vulnerabilities. The article lists five options: keep using it unsupported, upgrade to Office 2024, subscribe to Microsoft 365, switch to the free web version, or move to alternatives such as Google Docs, LibreOffice, Collabora Office or OnlyOffice.
