   Perplexity adds gpt-live-1 voice controls for Computer

   Perplexity’s voice mode on the Mac app and web now uses OpenAI’s gpt-live-1 model, which can listen while speaking. In one voice session, users can work across multiple Computer sessions, start tasks, and create and manage Projects. The update is available to Pro and Max subscribers.

   OpenAI dev account launches cooking show "COOKED" built around Codex

   36Kr/Xinzhiyuan reports that OpenAI's developer account launched a kitchen-themed show called "COOKED", in which guests dictate requirements to Codex (running GPT-6-Astra ultra fast) and Codex writes an 8-bit pixel-style ramen game that is later installed on a ModRetro handheld. The episode also demos the always-on "dot" agent introduced at DevDay, which turns photos of ingredients into a recipe in a ChatGPT Space, and a voice sous-chef powered by the full-duplex GPT-Live-1 that does not interrupt when a speaker pauses. A sponsored segment promotes the refreshed Codex CLI, with a full-screen interface, multi-agent monitoring and direct terminal speech, alongside Codex cloud tasks that keep running after the laptop is closed. The episode aired on day 15 of Codex lead Tibo's pledge to ship one improvement daily for 28 days or reset all user quotas, and comments flooded in asking for a reset, with some users saying ChatGPT quotas drain too fast to justify $200.

   SpaceXSI releases Grok Voice 3.0, topping Artificial Analysis speech-to-speech index

   On Oct 14, SpaceXSI, formerly xAI, released Grok Voice 3.0, a speech-to-speech model it calls "the world's most intelligent voice model," with sub-one-second latency, available in its Voice Agent API at $0.08 per minute, the same price as Grok Voice 2.0. Artificial Analysis' Speech-to-Speech Index ranks it first at 86.9, ahead of OpenAI's GPT-Live-1 at 83.2 and Google's Gemini 3.8 Live at 82.6; it also scored 97% on Full Duplex Bench and 74% on ServiceNow's EVA-Bench for enterprise voice agents. In the τ-Voice test simulating accents, background noise and interruptions, its task success rate was 71.6%, slightly below GPT-Live-1's 74.5%, though SpaceXSI says its latency is 40% lower. The company says Grok Voice already handles millions of in-car conversations at Tesla and about 20,000 multilingual Starlink support calls a day, roughly 70% resolved without a human.

   Amp extends AI agents beyond code with OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra

   OpenAI published a customer story on how coding-agent company Amp uses OpenAI models for work beyond writing code. Amp CEO Quinn Slack says OpenAI models account for the majority of tokens used in Amp, with some users consuming 10 billion tokens a week, and that Amp launched a Sign in with ChatGPT integration giving users more tokens and access to OpenAI models including GPT-6 Astra. The post also describes Amp's recently announced conversational assistant Puck, powered by GPT-Live-1 for real-time voice, and testing of a faster Ultrafast mode with GPT-6 Astra. All capability and performance claims come from OpenAI and Amp and include no independent benchmark data.

   Higgsfield says GPT-6 Astra lifts AI video from 1 minute to over 10

   OpenAI published a customer story saying that after Higgsfield adopted GPT-6 Astra, the AI video platform's clips went from topping out at around one minute to more than 10 minutes. Higgsfield CEO and co-founder Alex Mashrabov said Astra lets its creative agents call external tools to handle complex work such as 3D modeling, which he says helps maintain consistency of characters, scenes and visual detail across longer videos. Higgsfield says its YouTube channel, with almost 500,000 subscribers, now produces instructional videos over 10 minutes long using the workflow, and that it has integrated GPT-Image-2.5 for rendering readable text and infographics and uses Codex to speed prototypes; next it plans to explore voice-to-video with GPT-Live-1. The duration and capability figures are vendor claims and were not independently measured in the reports.
