   Broadcom in talks to arrange over $50B financing for OpenAI custom AI chips

   The Wall Street Journal and other outlets report that Broadcom has been working to arrange more than $50 billion in financing for the custom AI chip project it is developing with OpenAI, with Apollo Global Management and Blackstone among the lenders in talks. Oracle is separately negotiating with Apollo and Goldman Sachs to fund a large chip purchase. The financing has not formally launched, the size and timing could still change, and both Broadcom and OpenAI declined to comment; one Taiwanese outlet put the figure at about $30 billion.

   Apollo's Wassenaar warns of underinvestment risk in AI buildout

   Olivia Wassenaar, Apollo's global head of infrastructure, said the firm deployed more than $20 billion in infrastructure originations in the third quarter, partnering with investment-grade companies and investing in areas including gas processing. Speaking on Bloomberg Surveillance, she warned of underinvestment risk in the AI buildout and said the opportunity extends beyond AI data centers to power supply, the electrical grid, natural-gas infrastructure and the broader industrial economy.

   SpaceX in talks to raise $40B to buy Nvidia chips, led by Apollo

   SpaceX is in talks with banks and investors to raise about $40 billion to buy Nvidia chips, according to reports, split roughly into $10 billion in bank loans and $30 billion in investment-grade bonds, with Apollo Global Management expected to lead the deal and Pimco among the lenders in talks. The transaction is expected to close in 2027. Musk has said SpaceX decided to build "entirely on Nvidia," calling its Vera Rubin architecture the best AI platform.
