Dell NY Symposium preview: AI Data Platform for financial services
Dell Technologies will host its New York Symposium on Oct. 20, spotlighting its AI Data Platform for financial services and discussing agentic AI, AI-powered PCs and modernized infrastructure in the sector. According to SiliconANGLE, the platform uses a four-engine architecture: a data orchestration engine that handles retrieval requests, an Apache Spark-based data processing engine, a data search engine powered by Elasticsearch, and a data analytics engine that exposes an Iceberg lakehouse as a governed SQL query surface. Dell says any MCP-compatible agent framework can discover available data products and run governed queries, while a unified semantic layer aims to give structured and unstructured information consistent business meaning.
For enterprises the bottleneck in AI adoption is often data rather than models, and Dell's push shows infrastructure vendors reorganizing the data stack around agents.
