Uvi raises $7.5M seed to give AI agents company context
Uvi, officially Naboo Research Ltd., emerged from stealth with $7.5 million in seed funding for software that feeds company knowledge to AI agents. SiliconANGLE reported CT Innovations led the round with Cardumen, Mana VC and 91 Ventures participating, while The Next Web said CT Innovations and Cardumen co-led with Gaingles VC also joining, so the lead-investor accounts differ. Uvi says its "context reasoning layer" links Slack, Jira, Confluence, codebases and meeting notes so agents built on models such as Claude, Gemini and GPT can understand past decisions, with answers limited to information employees can already access and each answer citing its source. The company said the money will fund a US team, more sales and further product work, and that Lemonade, monday.com and Melio already use it.
By Uvi's own tests, company-built agents cost about eight times as much and take more than twice as long to respond because each deployment relearns business context, at $0.75–$1.41 per answer versus $0.10–$0.16 with Uvi — figures the company supplied.

According to them, each AI agent a company uses begins without any knowledge of that company. Company information is often scattered across different tools, so a decision might begin in a Slack thread, move to a Jira ticket, and finish in code.
