Turo plans Tesla FSD Supervised rentals in the US
Turo announced plans to launch Tesla FSD Supervised rentals in the United States on October 28, according to 36Kr and IT之家. Renters would be able to search for and book eligible Tesla vehicles, with the platform using an API to check each vehicle’s FSD status. Turo said eligible U.S. vehicle owners would receive a one-month free FSD trial and that thousands of Tesla vehicles on its platform support FSD, but the supplied reports do not independently verify those figures or Turo’s claim to be the first verified service of its kind. Drivers would remain responsible for supervising the system, which is not fully autonomous.
The planned offering would add Tesla’s supervised driver-assistance feature to Turo’s booking process and provide an API-based check of a vehicle’s reported FSD status, according to the report.
