TSIA Marks 30 Years and Forecasts Taiwan Semiconductor Output Above NT$9.1 Trillion

AI summary

The Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association marked its 30th anniversary and projected that Taiwan’s semiconductor output value will exceed NT$9.1 trillion in 2026, up 40.9% from NT$6.5 trillion in 2025. TSIA also backed evaluating nuclear-power restarts under legal, safety and regulatory requirements, while expanding materials-related committees and local capacity to address supply-chain constraints associated with AI demand. The output figure is an association forecast rather than an independently verified result.

In-depth insight

The outlook and supply-chain initiatives connect Taiwan’s semiconductor expansion with AI-related demand, while the association’s nuclear-power position highlights the energy requirements identified by TSIA for stable semiconductor operations.
