According to Huawei Cloud, a time-series pretrained model called Qiyao, developed jointly by Huawei teams (Huawei Cloud industry large-model team, the 2012 Applied Scenario Innovation Lab and others) and East China Normal University, has topped two international time-series benchmarks: TIME-leaderboard and GIFT-Eval (Pretrained category), as reported by ITHome. Huawei Cloud said the team deeply optimized training and inference on the Ascend ecosystem, yielding a model it describes as highly accurate, robust, general-purpose and easy to engineer. The company says the model can be used directly for zero-shot time-series forecasting in areas such as grid load assessment, industrial equipment anomaly detection and financial trend analysis, and supports low-cost fine-tuning for vertical industries.
