Solo founder says Claude Ultra weekly limits are slowing AI SaaS development
A solo founder building an AI B2B SaaS product says they built it almost entirely with Claude, relying heavily on Claude Code alongside Cowork and browser tools. They report that even on the Ultra (Max20) plan, they often reach the weekly limit early in the week, slowing their work. They considered Team seats but said they could not find published weekly-limit information for Premium seats, leaving them unsure whether Team would provide more capacity. They rejected using two accounts because of possible policy consequences and said pay-per-use API credits could become costly for a bootstrapped founder.
The account provides a practitioner-level indication that Claude subscription limits can affect an active AI product build. It also highlights the poster’s uncertainty about the weekly capacity of Team and Premium seats; the report does not independently verify those limits.
Hey all,
I'd like to hear what's worked for others in my situation.
I'm a solo founder building an AI B2B SaaS. We're pre-incorporation (in the process of setting up the formal company), but we're getting traction from large corps and investor interest, so I need to move fast.
I've built the product almost entirely with Claude. I use Claude Code heavily, plus Cowork, the browser tools, etc. Even on Ultra (Max20), I often hit the weekly limit early in the week, and that's now what's slowing me down.
What I've considered:
Moving to Team. I couldn't find any published info on weekly limits for Premium seats (only the 6.25x per-session figure), so I can't tell if it would actually give me more weekly capacity than Ultra.
