Global Unichip Reports Q3 Growth and 2nm Cloud AI ASIC Project
Global Unichip reported third-quarter consolidated revenue of NT$3.66 billion, up 11% quarter on quarter and 13% year on year, marking a record for the third quarter. Basic EPS was NT$1.07 and gross margin 42.5%. Management attributed revenue exceeding expectations to mass-production growth, while operating profit rose 443% year on year to NT$210 million. The company said mass-production revenue reached a third-quarter record as shipments accelerated for AI-related advanced-packaging projects. It also said its advanced-process business won a large international-customer project using a 2nm GAA process for cloud AI applications.
The reported 2nm GAA cloud AI ASIC project, alongside stronger mass-production revenue and AI-related advanced-packaging shipments, highlights Global Unichip’s progress in AI-related semiconductor design and manufacturing services.
智原今（27 日）舉辦法說會，公布第三季合併營收達新台幣（下同）36.6 億元，季增 11%、年增13%，創歷年同期新高；營業毛利 15.6 億元，季增4%、年增45%，毛利率達 42.5%；營業利益 2.1 億元，季減 21%、年增 443%，營業利潤率 5.8%；稅後淨利 2.8 億元，季增 41%、年增84%，基本每股盈餘 1.07 元。
智原指出，受到量產業務帶動，第三季合併營收優於預期；獲利結構方面，因產品組合優化，毛利率較去年同期提升約 9 個百分點，回升至 42.5% ; 營業利益雖較上季小幅回落，但受到營收規模擴大及毛利結構改善，較去年同期大幅成長逾四倍，顯示公司獲利能力持續提升。
