Nvidia RTX Spark laptops up for pre-order from $2,599, ship Oct 16
Nvidia's new RTX Spark laptops are now available for pre-order through Best Buy and manufacturer channels, with the first models slated to ship on October 16 and prices starting at $2,599.99, rising for higher-end configurations. The platform pairs a Grace CPU with a Blackwell GPU and unified memory options from 24GB to 128GB; the full chip has a 20-core CPU and 6,144-core GPU, while the lower-end tier uses an 18-core CPU and 5,120-core GPU. TechRadar picked three models for small businesses running local AI — Surface Laptop Ultra (from $2,599.99, up to 128GB), HP OmniBook Ultra 16 ($3,199.99) and Asus ProArt P16 ($3,399.99) — while noting that memory capacity alone does not determine model performance.
High-memory local AI laptops let smaller firms run models without sending data to the cloud, though cost and software compatibility remain adoption hurdles.
