Dongfeng Fengshen L8+ to launch Oct 23 with Momenta R7 world model
IT之家, citing Yiche, reported that Dongfeng Fengshen's L8+ will go on sale on Oct 23. The report says the car uses the Tianyuan Smart Driving T800 system built on Momenta's R7 world model, paired with an Nvidia Thor-U chip rated at up to 700 TOPS and supporting urban and highway NOA. It is a plug-in hybrid combining a 1.5T engine with an electric motor, and features an embedded instrument cluster, a large floating center screen, 19-speaker WANOS audio and a rear entertainment screen. Dongfeng Fengshen bills the L8+ as aiming at the "strongest smart assisted driving product in its class," a vendor claim.
It marks another production vehicle carrying Momenta's R7 world model, though Dongfeng Fengshen's "strongest in its class" assisted-driving claim is marketing with no independently verifiable test data yet.
