Baseten Grid enters public preview for enterprise AI routing
Baseten introduced Grid in public preview as an enterprise control layer for routing AI requests, monitoring model usage, managing budgets and access, and applying centralized guardrails. It combines Baseten Router, a gateway supporting providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, Amazon Bedrock, and Baseten, and configurable safety policies. Baseten says its early benchmarks found nearly 70% lower cost per coding task with a 0.9-percentage-point quality tradeoff versus Opus 5.5, though results depend on workload and desired tradeoffs.
Grid gives enterprise teams one interface for controlling multi-model AI spending, access, usage, and safety policies, according to Baseten.
