iKala's Kuroma tracks brand mentions across ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude
Speaking at the Google Analytics Asia-Pacific Partner Summit in Singapore under the theme "Sessions and Answers," iKala and CloudAD group chairman Sega Cheng said AI search is changing how consumers get information, with users increasingly taking answers directly from Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude or AI summaries in search results rather than clicking through to sites — a "zero-click" trend. He said much brand contact now happens before the click, so existing website-traffic data alone can no longer fully capture how consumers encounter a brand. iKala's Kuroma therefore tracks mentions, citations and recommendations across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Google AI summaries, and audits whether sites are easy for AI to read based on content, technical architecture, structured data and credibility signals, while CloudAD uses GA360 with BigQuery to cut the time its editors need for key data from about 48 hours to under 30 minutes, alongside roughly 25% growth in new and active users and about 15% growth in visits. Cheng stressed that AI output depends on the data it reads, so trustworthy data foundations determine whether AI delivers real value.
As AI summaries become an entry point to information, brand visibility outside conventional traffic metrics is emerging as a new marketing measurement problem.
