Tencent previews Hy4 and Hy4 Flash with visual understanding
Tencent announced at the 2026 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Conference that the Hunyuan Hy4 model is forthcoming, while Hy4 Flash is planned for a near-term release. Tencent said Hy4 strengthens long-horizon and real-world productivity tasks, improves chain-of-thought efficiency, and introduces visual understanding for the first time. It also said Hy4 Flash will inherit Hy4’s visual and Agent capabilities. The reports did not provide an exact launch date for either model.
The preview indicates that Tencent plans to extend its Hunyuan model line with visual understanding and Agent capabilities while emphasizing longer-horizon tasks and chain-of-thought efficiency.

今年8月28日，腾讯混元发布并开源新一代大语言模型 Hy4preview ，总参数770B、激活参数49B，上下文长度突破1M。Hy4preview 在模型尺寸、上下文长度、数据规模上都进行了显著的扩展，模型能力稳居开源模型第一梯队。
