AI翻译愈发流畅，人工校对仍不可少
BBC报道称，谷歌表示Google Translate每月翻译量已达一万亿词，而通用AI订阅之外的机器翻译直接销售去年估值约14亿美元。瑞士非营利组织OKA（开放知识协会）在维基媒体资助下研究了119篇文章、10个语种组合和逾1000小时译者工作，发现27%的AI生成文本在发布前仍被修改，其中四分之三是AI自身引入的错误，5%至6%的错误改变了原文含义。法律与医学译者举例说，AI把“Le demandeur”（原告）译成“the requester”，还把剂量单位中的希腊字母μ译成milli（毫）而非micro（微），相当于一千倍的剂量错误；法国国家科研中心研究员弗朗索瓦·伊冯认为，这类系统的运作方式使其很难做到100%可靠。
在司法和医疗等高风险场景，翻译错误后果严重：报道提到，美国机器翻译的庇护申请出现错误，曾导致在押人员获释被延误。
